Victoria Creek Australian Labradoodles guarantees that your puppy will only be delivered to you after our vet has examined her and assured us that she is in good health. The warranty on your puppy will only be effective if, within five days of taking her home, you have her examined by a veterinarian who can assure you of the good health of your puppy and you return a signed copy of the veterinarian’s Health Certificate to Victoria Creek Australian Labradoodles within 4 days of taking her home. Have your veterinarian verify the puppy’s microchip number on the health certificate.
If your vet finds a chronic or serious health issue with your new puppy, contact us and send us the report and all diagnostic data, including x-rays immediately. If, after we have reviewed the information with our vet, we agree that the puppy should be returned, we will choose either to give you a full refund of the purchase price or allow you to pick a puppy from our next available litter. Alternatively we can pay your vet up to half the purchase price for the treatment of your puppy. Any course of treatment must be pre-approved by Victoria Creek Australian Labradoodles in order for us to be responsible for the cost of treatment.
2 Year Genetic Health Warranty
During your dogs first two years, Victoria Creek Australian Labradoodles guarantees her to be free from life-threatening genetic defects.
If your dog is shown to have a life-threatening genetic defect, you will need to get the diagnosis reported by two independent veterinarians. In the case of progressive retinal atrophy, you will need to get a report from a certified veterinary ophthalmologist. In the case of hip or elbow dysplasia, you will need to get a report from a PennHIP or OFA certified veterinarian. We may also, at our expense, wish to have your dog examined by our veterinarian.
If a life threatening genetic defect is diagnosed and you send the reports from the veterinarians to us, we will offer your choice of a replacement puppy or we will pay your vet up to half the purchase price of the dog for treatment.
Have your veterinarian verify the microchip number of your dog on every report. We will provide a replacement puppy from the next available litter.
Buyers Responsibility
You need to keep your puppy away from other dogs and places other dogs have been until she has had all of her shots (at about sixteen to twenty weeks). The puppy’s developing immune system will not be strong enough to protect her from viruses such as parvovirus until she has been completely vaccinated. Visitors should leave their shoes outside and wash their hands before handling your puppy during this time. When you take your puppy to the vet, keep her in your arms until you are in a secluded sterilized room.
Vaccinate your puppy and keep her vaccinations up to date throughout her life. You will need to provide a copy of her complete vaccination record before we will replace her or refund any portion of the purchase price.
You will want to provide high quality dog food (we feed our dogs Orijen) and give her exercise, a place to live in the house, reliable fences and regular trips to the vet. Keeping your dog fit and at a proper weight is important, as overweight dogs are more likely to develop hip dysplasia. For the same reason and to promote healthy bone development, you should avoid strenuous or repetitive jumping exercises, such as Frisbee jumping, for the first year. Your puppy’s bones will not be fully developed until she is a year old. Excessive running, climbing stairs or other strenuous exercise can harm her development.
If you are unable to keep your dog for any reason, please contact us. We will help you find another good home for her.
Pet insurance is a wonderful thing. While our warranty covers the life-threatening congenital issues known to affect Australian Labradoodles for which we have rigorously tested your puppy’s parents there are an uncountable number of ways for your dog to come to harm that are not covered by our warranty. Accidents and illnesses, not covered by warranty, can be covered by insurance. Wellness insurance can also cover annual well-dog exams, vaccines, flea medication and continuous worming medication.
Contract Limitations
This warranty applies only to you, the original purchaser.
If an examining veterinarian finds that your dog has been abused, subjected to trauma, allowed to become overweight or neglected, this guarantee is void.
Victoria Creek Australian Labradoodles is, under no circumstances, liable to the buyer or any third party for consequential, incidental or special damages resulting from the dog or related to the dog.
If we are unable to replace your puppy within a year, we will refund your purchase price.
Upon signature, all veterinary care and attendant costs are the sole and exclusive responsibility of the buyer.
Buyer and breeder agree that this writing represents the entire agreement between them and that no other representations have been made regarding the dog.
